Business Manager
WHVL-TV is seeking an experienced individual to join the start-up team as business manager. This position will take responsibility for creating all business practices and operations for broadcast and communications for WHVL-TV.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Activation and management of initial operating budget
- Development of payroll system, including all taxation
- Set up of accounts payable/receivable systems
- Initial management of human resource functions
- Set up and management of benefits program
- Staff recruitment for business staff
- Other duties as assigned
Qualified applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting (preferred) and at least 5 years of professional experience (broadcasting experience helpful)
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment
- Experience in development of business plans and service agreements

Sales Account Executive
WHVL-TV is seeking an experienced media sales individual to join the start-up team as sales account executive. This position will take responsibility for selling of advertising to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies, achieving the predetermined monthly revenue goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Generation of revenues for WHVL-TV through the sale of commercial TV advertising
- Developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with advertisers in order to generate and retain advertising sales. This includes phone calls, written correspondence and in-person presentations
- Meeting established sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Collection of all account balances
- Completion of required documentation and reporting for the proper processing of contracts, advertising schedules and call and expense reports
- Attendance and participation in sales meetings, training programs and conferences as directed
- Adherence to all company policies, including recommended rates and packages
- Staying abreast of competitive conditions in the market
- Other duties as assigned
Qualified applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s degree or media experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with computer software and technology
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Adequate transportation
- Valid PA driver’s license

WHVL-TV Master Control Operator - Part - Time
WHVL-TV.is seeking an experienced individual to work as a part-time Master Control Operator. Responsible for manning and switching air operations and server functions for WHVL-TV.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Technical Operation of WHVL Technical Core
- Ingestion of programming and interstitial material
- Tracking of air operations
- Coordination of incoming feeds
- Monitoring broadcast signal
- Other duties as assigned
Qualified applicants should have:
Experience in broadcast technical operations. Working knowledge of broadcast switching equipment. The ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a deadline oriented environment. The understanding of broadcast equipment and strong computer skills.
The ability work in a self-motivated environment and strong attention to detail.

WHVL-TV Videographer/Editor - Part-Time
WHVL-TV is seeking an individual to fill the position of videographer/Editor for WHVL-TV. This position is Part-Time and will work on TV production projects to assist with coordination and technical production.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Shooting footage on remote and studio projects
- Editing and ingesting footage for air
- Other duties as assigned
Qualified applicants should have:
Demonstrated ability and experience in videography and non-linear editing.
The ability to work in a deadline oriented environment.
The understanding of broadcast productions operations and strong computer skills.
Understand of FCP editing systems.
The ability work in a self-motivated environment and strong attention to detail.
