Ron Fox
Racing has been in Ron Fox's blood for all of his life. His father, Bob, raced in the Novice divisions at Hesston and Everett Speedways in the late-60's. Through the years, Ron continued to go to his favorite local tracks. A self-proclaimed backyard mechanic, Ron has assisted a couple of racing teams when needed. Ron has always dreamed of following in his father's footsteps as a driver. However, the closest he has ever gotten is in running a couple of demolition derbies. For the past few years, Ron's dream of racing and competitive nature has led him to the world of online sim racing. As a fan, Ron has always felt that local racing hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves. In 1994, Ron was given the opportunity to report on the local racing community for his former employer, WTAJ-TV,in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Later, Ron did some reports and even hosted a live, one-hour racing show for WBXQ-FM in Altoona. As the years have passed, Ron has had the desire to give race fans, teams, tracks and sponsors something that has been lacking in the local television markets. That vision is a racing show which spotlights the racing community and gives credit to those involved. Pit Pass is not only his dream, but now a reality with the announcement that WHVL-TV in State College, Pennsylvania, will be airing this half hour show throughout the 2010 racing season.
